Dr. Matthew Murphy, DDS FRCD(C)

Dr. Matthew Murphy is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was born and raised in Miramichi, NB. Dr. Murphy attended Dalhousie University where he obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree with distinction in 2012. During dental school he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and practiced as a general dentist for 4 years before being selected for post graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his specialty degree at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2020 and practiced in both the military and civilian settings in Petawawa, ON and Fredericton, NB.

Dr. Murphy released from the Canadian Armed Forces in 2025 and he and his family moved to Quispamsis, where he now works full time at the Kennebecasis Valley Oral Surgery clinic. Dr. Murphy maintains medical staff privileges at The Moncton Hospital and the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital where he provides treatment for Maxillofacial Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery.
